The Countryside Team at EDDC is all about “Protecting Nature, Inspiring People”, dedicated as it is to conserving and restoring the district’s natural landscapes.

They are busy:
- Nature conservation and restoration:Â We manage 11 nature reserves and 19 miles of the South West Coast Path.
- Volunteering opportunities:Â We offer local people the chance to make a difference in their community by getting involved in hands-on conservation work.
- Outdoor learning:Â Our dedicated Education Ranger delivers inspiring sessions to schools and community groups, fostering a love for nature.
- Events programme: We run an year-around exciting outdoor events programme, connecting people with East Devon’s beautiful countryside.
