East Devon Countryside Team: wildlife champions

The Countryside Team at EDDC is all about “Protecting Nature, Inspiring People”, dedicated as it is to conserving and restoring the district’s natural landscapes.

They are busy:

  • Nature conservation and restoration: We manage 11 nature reserves and 19 miles of the South West Coast Path.
  • Volunteering opportunities: We offer local people the chance to make a difference in their community by getting involved in hands-on conservation work.
  • Outdoor learning: Our dedicated Education Ranger delivers inspiring sessions to schools and community groups, fostering a love for nature.
  • Events programme:  We run an year-around exciting outdoor events programme, connecting people with East Devon’s beautiful countryside.

And just in the last month, they have been really busy:
