During lockdown last year, it was the small local businesses who came to the fore:

Woolbrook News, the popular local business which is also a grocer’s and tearoom, started offering a new service:

And so we were really able to appreciate local businesses and services:

And local businesses were also able to appreciate the custom:

“If it wasn’t for the loyal customer base, we have we would not have survived”.

Teresa and Ron Loynd of Woolbrook News are celebrating three years of being in business in Sidmouth and wish to thank all of their customers and staff for their continued support, especially during the difficulties of the Coronavirus pandemic.

In July, they received regional award:

Popular Sidmouth shop owner Teresa Loynd has gone from selling the news to making it! Teresa runs Woolbrook News in Woolbrook Road with her husband Ron, 65 and daughter Faye. She was nominated for the ‘Newsangels’ award by customer Ann Liverton from Tyrrell Mead, Sidmouth, and was named the winner for the South West.
