In the middle of this last winter, they produced a leaflet to help local residents cope better:

Sidmouth residents who are struggling with the cost of living crisis are being urged to seek help from the many local support organisations.  Sid Valley Help, supported by Sidmouth Town Council, has produced a leaflet and posters giving contact details for organisations that can provide advice and help on financial matters, others providing grants to support emergency needs, and those that help with food and energy concerns.

Sid Valley HELP’s website provides a whole host of places and groups to contact – as well as news about what’s out there to help us manage better:

They work with a lot of local organisations – and one of their latest collaborations is very creative indeed:

A new project by Sidmouth School of Art and Sid Valley Help will celebrate the contribution made by volunteers to community life. The project aims to ‘capture the voice and faces’ of volunteers in Sidmouth and represent them through art. People involved in volunteering are invited to get directly involved in the project, either by producing their own piece of art or modelling for another artist.

It’s made huge contributions to the life of the Sid Valley since it was set up in 2019:

At the core of what Sid Valley HELP does is volunteering – and what could be a more ‘sustainable’ activity!?
