Inclusive Champions Devon

There are all sorts of projects and programmes to encourage inclusion of all sorts in our Devon schools and communities.

The County Council is working together for better inclusion of neurodivergence in Devon’s schoolsThe focus of the project is to provide support to help schools’ approach to neurodivergence, rather than providing targeted support to individual children.

Active Devon hopes to be part of reducing inequalities so everyone in Devon can be active for life: A great example of this is how we helped a local disability organisation through mentoring.

Devon Development Education brings its Cultural Champions into the county’s schools: A Cultural Champion is a Devon resident from another culture or religion who comes into the classroom, workplace or community to give pupils an authentic personal view of their culture.

The Diocese of Exeter has announced its Inclusion Champions to make a difference in Devon churchesA key part of what they do is to walk alongside those with disabilities, additional needs and neurodivergence, and their families
