The Sidmouth Twinning Circle [twinning Sidmouth and Le Locle in Switzerland] is a very active group, run by volunteers, with support from the town council.
Last year, Swiss visitors spent some time in Sidmouth, “with a busy programme of activities planned to really show off Sidmouth and the surrounding area”.
And this year, the Sidmouth Twinning Circle is to celebrate its 40th anniversary – with their Swiss friends, when members will embark on the return trip from Sidmouth to Le Locle on 19th June.
As part of its celebrations, the Circle made a gift to the Explorer Scouts, which will help 23 Scouts and leaders to visit Sidmouth’s twin town – and the Explorers’ summer programme will include different venues and a jamboree in Switzerland.
The Sidmouth Twinning Circle invites anyone interested in more information to its AGM on Thursday 24th April, at 2.30pm at Twyford House.
