Earlier this year, a new initiative was launched:

Generous local businesses have been thanked for helping the Sid Valley Food Bank support people through the continuing cost of living crisis. An initiative called Shelf Life was launched at the end of last year, in which companies donate credit to the food bank’s accounts with food wholesalers. The idea came from local businessman Tom Seward who is among the main donors.
