Sidmouth College champions

Sidmouth College students have been very much in the news of late…

On Dartmoor, they showed resilience and enthusiasm, learning new skills such as map reading and teamwork:

They will also be showing enthusiasm at the SeaFest on Saturday 21st May – with the theme of ‘Kelp Our Oceans’:

Art illustrating the topic has been created by Year 7 students at Sidmouth College, who learned about the biodiverse contribution that kelp provides for animals and plant life, and their work will be on display at Sea Fest.

With more on the College social media pages:

This morning we hosted our annual art collaboration with Sidmouth Sea Fest who brought with them some amazing ideas to illustrate their theme this year of ‘Kelp’. They created long painted banners, decorated logs, lyric posters and flags made out of recycled clothing.
These will all be on display at the Seafest event on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st May.
We would like to thank Coco for her amazing ideas and Louise and Rowan for supporting the workshops.

And they are getting involved in more creativity with SiB:

The College Art Department has joined forces with Sidmouth in Bloom this year to encourage students to get creative and design a flowerbed for Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth. The theme this year is ‘Best of British’ and the winning designs will be planted up in Sidmouth.
