Our families are our champions!

There are lots of groups and organisations ‘doing great things’ in and around the Sid Valley – but what about the ‘ordinary folk’ who are interested and want to get involved in their own way?!

The important point was recently made that things such as climate campaigns must become broader if they are to work.

In other words, young people and families and people from every walk of life in our communities need to feel inspired and engaged.

And what more inspiring and engaging could it be than to see a whole family enjoying trying to identify wild animal poo at the recent Eco Hub Sidmouth family fun at the Library?!

As Martin Luther King said: “We must learn to live together as brothers, or perish together as fools.”

And as another participant in the Eco Hub Spot the poo – and ‘any other bits of nature you might want to pick up from the park and forest floor’ event said, when noticing this family: “Our families are our champions!”
