Meet the Panel of Judges

The Vision Group for Sidmouth is delighted that the following representatives of our local community, business life and key institutions have taken on the challenge of judging the Sustainable Sidmouth Champions Awards 2023.

DENISE BICKLEY

Denise works as an administrative assistant at the Sidmouth Primary School – a recipient of the Champions Award 2021 for resilience: The Champions Awards 2021: Congratulations! – Sustainable Sidmouth Champion Awards

She is a passionate advocate and activist, and is the founder and chair of the Sidmouth Plastic Warriors: Sidmouth Plastic Warriors – Doing everything in our power to get Sidmouth single-use-plastic-free – earning the Champions Award 2021 for sustainability

SYLVIA BROWNLEE

Sylvia is the former, long-standing secretary of the Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce: Sidmouth Chamber Of Commerce – Posts | Facebook

She is the author of ‘Sampson’s Sidmouth’ and founder of the Sampson Society: Home – The Sampson Society

ELEANOR CARR

PROF BRIAN GOLDING OBE

He is also chair of the SVA’s History Group: History Group

CHRIS LOCKYEAR

Chris has a background in the energy industry and is currently the chair of the programme cttee of the Science Festival: Team | Sidmouth Science Festival

CHRIS WOODRUFF

On 2020 Ian established the Sidmouth Toy & Model Museum Charitable Trust to house his collection of toys, models and memorabilia covering the 20th century: Sidmouth Toy and Model Museum
